The Possibilities:

I'm appearing in a wonderful series of one-act plays by Howard Barker, The Possibilities.  I'm in two scenes, one with more subtle humor, and the other with a bunch of zany physical comedy.  It's a lot of fun, and we have a great cast and crew.  Get your tickets today!

The greatest living playwright you've never heard of.
--The Boston Globe

It's with a huge sigh of relief that one watches a Howard Barker play - not because the notoriously prickly author coddles his audience, but because the writing is so spectacularly top-notch. The Brit bullyboy, always boasting about gobsmacking bourgeois complacency, actually turns out beautifully made work. As fast as he rejects our pleas for entertainment, he satisfies them time after time.

Walking With the Dawn:

This is a well written independent feature film that recently finished shooting around NYC, chronicling an urban New York City teenager's struggles at home, at school, and in finding his way.  I play the role of the English teacher, Mr. Cummings.  Look for more news on this project soon.

Operation Ajax:

** Backstage Critic's Pick **  Click here to read the full review

After taking part in the text construction and performances of the work-in-progress incarnations of "Operation Ajax," I am now appearing in and assistant directing the fully realized stage version of the play.  This is a project that Noel Salzman and the Butane Group have been working on for over two years, and this is the culmination of that process.  The text deals with the coup in Iran in the 1950's, in which the U.S. subverted Iran's democratically elected government and overthrew the popular leader, Mohammed Mossadegh.  It's challenging material, and very enlightening about the tensions our country has had with Iran over the last several decades.  Here is the plug:

After two years of dramaturgical construction and development, you are invited to attend the fully realized stage version of

OPERATION AJAX
(a game of skill and chance)

Constructed from no less than 25 text sources--James Bond, the History Channel, Gore Vidal, contemporary Iranian poetry, Kathy Acker, reality TV shows--the piece tells the story of the CIA's 1953 coup overthrowing Iran's first, and so far only, democratically-elected government.  Placed in a casino context, the densely-layered text explores how the addiction to risk and gambling has become a potent metaphor for U.S. foreign policy.
